New Delhi: Workshop on Liability of Directors - Impact in Current Scenario

IFCCI in association with Maheshwari & Co. conducted a workshop on 'Liability of Directors - Impact in Current Scenario' on Wednesday, 17 April at IFCCI Boardroom, New Delhi.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Rishika Roy, Head of Committees & Events, IFCCI Delhi after which Mr. Vipul Maheshwari gave a brief introduction about the session.
This was followed by the keynote address delivered by Ms. Jyotsna Chaturvedi and Ms. Karishma Jaiswal wherein the following key topics were discussed:
- Corporate criminal liability of director under Companies Act, 2013
- Personal guarantee of director under Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016
- Fiduciary liability of directors
- Liability towards the company
- Indian perspective & evolution
- Liabilities under other enactments
The participants also benefited of an informative discussion with the help of case studies.
The workshop ended with an interactive Q&A session.
