Key decision-makers, CXOs of top French & Indian companies in India, & premium C-suite executives graced the occasion and weighed in on the implications of the Union Budget in their respective industries. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during her budget speech made several announcements related to the tech and startup sector, including relief on custom duty on the import of certain parts, expansion of the scope of Digi locker, AI centers, fund for agri-tech startups, among others. The FM said the government's vision for the 'Amrit Kaal' includes a technology-driven and knowledge-based economy, with strong public finances and a robust financial sector.
This budget provides a blueprint for steering the economy towards inclusive growth, macroeconomic stability, and sustainable growth.
