Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), under the aegis of its Energy & Utilities committee, in collaboration with Trilegal, organized a closed-door session on the latest legal & regulatory developments focused on Green Hydrogen, Offshore Wind and Storage sectors on Monday, 30th January 2023.
Ms. Rishika Roy, Head – Committees & Partnerships, IFCCI welcomes the participants and Speakers of the Session. The session commenced with a comprehensive Industry update given by Ms. Ahlem Friga-Noy, Country Chair India, Total Energies which covers spectrum of points relating to the Industry.
Moving forward, Mr. Neeraj Menon, Partner, Trilegal updated on India’s push towards alternative sources of energy, Targets by 2030, role of other ministries, key regulatory measures and how Green Hydrogen, Offshore Wind and Battery Storage will play a significant role in India’s energy transitions.
Members deliberated on several focus areas such as:
- Level of GHG reduction required for green hydrogen, innovative business, and financing models for the growth of battery storage,
- Key policy measures – offshore winds,
- Supply chain & ease of doing business,
- Importance of public policy advocacy in this segment with a preparation of white paper comprising of issues raised by member companies in the industry to be presented to MNRE.
