IFCCI, in collaboration with the French Embassy in India/ Ambassade de France en Inde organized Annual Seminar on Decoding the Union Budget 2023.

The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), under the aegis of its CFO committee and in collaboration with the French Embassy in India / Ambassade de France en Inde, organized its flagship Annual Seminar on Decoding the Union Budget 2023 on Monday, 6th February 2023 at the Embassy of France in New Delhi.

Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI, welcomed the participants and Speakers for the Session, followed by Mr. Arnab Roy, Chairperson, IFCCI CFO Committee & CFO, Schneider Electric India setting the context for the Seminar.

Mr. David Karmouni, Regional Financial Counsellor, Deputy to the Head of Regional Economic Services Embassy of France, India delivered a special address and highlighted the new policy initiatives.

Mr. Swatantra Singh Bhatia, Partner, Mazars in India presented key highlights of the Union Budget 2023 and moderated the panel discussion with Mr. Arnab Roy, CFO, Schneider Electric India & Chairman, IFCCI CFO Committee, Ms. Aayushi Chaudhary, HSBC Securities and Capital Markets (India) Private Limited, Mr. Kamal Kakkar, CFO, Thales India Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Himanshu S. Sinha (Tax), Trilegal whereat the experts shared their perceptions of the budget proposals, developments in the direct and indirect tax proposals, the impact on the investment scenario, the focus on greengrowth, energy transition, defence and gems and jewellery.

This was followed by an interactive session with participants.
The seminar was moderated by Ms. Rishika Roy, Head-Committees & Partnerships, IFCCI.
