Following the success of the 1st Edition of the Indo-French Sustainability Conclave held in Chennai, we are now geared up to organize the 2nd Edition of the Indo-French Sustainability Conclave in association with the Consulate General of France in Pondichery & Chennai on Wednesday, 12th June 2024 at the TAJ Wellington Mews, Chennai. The event will be held in the presence of Ms Lise Talbot BARRÉ, Consul General of France in Pondichery & Chennai.

India and France have been actively cooperating in various fields, including corporate sustainability. The collaboration on corporate sustainability, focusing on clean energy, green finance, CSR, tech innovation, and policy dialogue aim to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future by leveraging their strengths and resources.

In view of this, IFCCI is organizing the 2nd Edition of the Indo-French Sustainability Conclave with an objective to provide a platform for stakeholders from both countries to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and explore opportunities. By bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, academia, the conclave aims to catalyze collective action towards achieving sustainability objectives.

  • This program is being organized with an objective to create a new platform for learning & sharing through a friendly yet competitive quiz program for the corporates.
  • How it works: This program shall comprise of two levels: Preliminary round to be held on an online platform & finals will be held in-person on the main stage of the conclave on 12th June 2024 in Chennai.
  • Winning & the runner-up team will be felicitated during the valedictory session of the conclave. The Indo-French Sustainability Master will comprise of questions based on but not limited to Climate Change, Renewable Energy, Waste Management, Sustainable Supply Chain, Biodiversity Conservation, Water Conservation etc.
  • How to register: Participation fee is applicable. Participation fee: INR 2000 + tax / company.

The 2nd Edition of the Start-up Recognition award program

his program is being organised with an objective to identify and recognize start-ups that are working towards creating a sustainable impact in India.

Who can apply - Any Indian start-up company or individual entrepreneur with an innovative project / product contributing to sustainable development can participate. The competition is sector agnostic, any company creating a sustainability impact is invited to apply.

How to register -There is no participation fee to enroll for the competition. Please submit your application at IFCCI Sustainability Recognition Award - Google Forms

Process - Shortlisted companies will be invited to present their project in front of Jury members in a virtual format. Jury members will select a winner & three best start-ups (including the winner).

The best start-ups & the winner will be given,

  • An opportunity to exhibit in the exposition space
  • Winner will be given an award by the Chief guests during the conclave
  • Traction across social media mentioning their recognition during the event

About the Climate Fresk Workshop

UNDERSTAND CLIMATE CHANGE - In the face of this emergency, everyone must be able to understand climate change, make sense of the information, form an opinion, accept the necessary changes for the preservation of life on the planet and act quickly!

What is Climate Fresk workshop ? The Climate Fresk is a LEARNING workshop led by a community of Freskers, based on a game with 42 cards taken from the scientific reports of the IPCC *. The game raises AWARENESS about CLIMATE CHANGE in a playful and collaborative way.

How it works: Participants gather around a table in teams of 5 to 8 people. They discover the cards representing the different components of climate change and work together to connect them in order to highlight the links between cause and effect.

Who can attend: The Fresk*** is suitable for all audiences and all levels of understanding. The Climate Fresk workshop alongside the conclave will be conducted by Mr Julien Banaszuk, Country Coordinator for India & Co-Founder & Director, High Environmental & Social Impact India.

How to register: There is no participation fee to enroll for the workshop. Limited seats available and open to first 12 interested delegates of the conclave. Please send an email tanya.arora@ifcci.org in for registration.
