Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) organized an exclusive Logistics & Mobility Roundtable Meeting with Mr. Balamurugan D., Joint Secretary (Europe), and Mr. E. Srinivas, Joint Secretary (Logistics) from the Department of Promotion for Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India, on 29th February 2024.
This is a part of the series of roundtable meetings that are being organized by IFCCI Committees, focussing on creating a meaningful dialogue with the Govt. of India to foster the trade and investment relations between India and France.
Mr. B. Ramanjaneyulu, Director, Department for Promotion of Internal Trade and Promotion, extended a warm welcome to IFCCI and its members.
Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI, introduced IFCCI, its activities and committees, and the purpose of organising such significant interactions; followed by Mr. Vaibhav Vohra, Managing Director, Continental Carriers and Chairperson, IFCCI Logistics & Supply Chain Committee, acknowledged the Government’s recent initiatives and policies including the National Logistics Policy that have helped the Industry in streamlining the challenges faced by them.
Members had an opportunity to interact and present the nuances of operating in the country. Mr. Balamurugan and Mr. Srinivas offered suggestions, support and also apprised them on the several mechanisms that are in place for the benefit of the industry, including the Project Monitoring Group for infrastructure projects, System Improvement Group for dealing with inter-ministerial concerns and the Indo-French Fast Track Mechanism.
IFCCI and its members appreciated DPIIT for their support extended towards French companies in the past.
