IFCCI Technology Committee Webinar on the "Future of Work"

The IFCCI Technology Committee hosted a webinar on "The Future of Work: Technology-Driven Workplace Trends Shaping Tomorrow" on 3rd April 2025.

The session commenced with welcome remarks by Mr. Priyank Prakash, Senior Manager – Advocacy & Content, IFCCI and the Co-Chairperson of the IFCCI Technology Committee Mr. Clifton Menezes, Executive Vice President at Capgemini - Technology Solutions and Go To Market. 

The panel discussion was moderated by Ms. Shreya Suri, Partner at IndusLaw. The webinar, "The Future of Work: Technology Driven Workplace Trends Shaping Tomorrow," explored how AI and automation are fundamentally transforming workplace dynamics across industries. Key themes included the democratization of AI, the shift toward data-driven decision-making, and the need for continuous upskilling to harness these advancements.

Mr. Krishna KJ, Cloud Delivery Service Expert at Mejuvante explained how explained how application deployment evolved from manual, hardware-dependent processes to rapid, automated workflows using CI/CD, containers, and AI tools like Copilot—making development faster and accessible even to non-coders.

Mr. Boris Leinweber, Head of Industrial Automation at AXA GBS described the dramatic shift from traditional communication to today’s AI-integrated tools. He emphasized that tools like RPA and ChatGPT are transforming everyday tasks, while ongoing training is key to keeping pace with these changes.

Mr. Manoj Kumar, Director - Cyber and Digital Transformation, TNP Consultants that AI emphasised that adoption is strongest in data-heavy industries like tech and finance, with significant gains in healthcare, retail, and logistics. He pointed out that while sectors like manufacturing are slower to adapt, AI is steadily enhancing efficiency across the board.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Priyank Prakash underscored the rapidly evolving role of technology in the modern workplace. He emphasized the necessity of ongoing dialogue and continuous upskilling, urging individuals and organizations to stay current with emerging trends to fully harness technological innovations and remain competitive in a dynamic future of work.
