The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) hosted an insightful session on Understanding Legal Frameworks on the Women's Rights in India, on 2nd May 2024 at their office in Delhi.
Ms. Aarushi Gautam, Manager - Committees & Events (North), IFCCI extended a warm welcome to the distinguished speakers and member participants.
The Session was led by Mr. Manishi Pathak, Founding Partner, Anhad Law, who enlightened on a wide range of aspects including the specific laws and regulations pertaining to women's rights in the country, encompassing constitutional provisions, criminal laws, family laws and employment laws.
The discussion was further enriched as Mr. Manishi Pathak engaged in a conversation with Ms. Seema Ahluwalia, Executive Director - HR & Digital Transformation, Sonepar India and Ms. Shalini Saxena, Co-Founder, Cadre and Fintech Legal Consultant Rio. They touched upon gender equality, diversity and inclusion, the importance of raising awareness, the impact of the three Ms - Marriage, Maternity, and Mobility - on women's rights in the corporate context, to highlight a few.
Their diverse perspectives and rich experiences led to a thought-provoking and informative session.
Over 85 participants from IFCCI member companies attended the session.
