Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) organized the Food and Agri Roundtable Meeting with Mr. Balamurugan D., Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade(DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India, on 23rd February 2024.
This is one in a series of roundtable meetings being organised by IFCCI Committees, focussing largely on creating a meaningful dialogue with the Govt. of India to strengthen Indo-French trade and investment relations.
Mr. B. Ramanjaneyulu, Director, Department for Promotion of Internal Trade and Promotion, while welcoming IFCCI and its members, shared the country’s growth trajectory for the next 25 years and spoke about the emerging trends in India’s food and agri sector including the manufacturing ecosystem, the active focus on sustainability and leveraging Industry 4.0.
Ms. Rishika Roy, Head – Committees & Partnerships, IFCCI, introduced IFCCI, its activities and committees; followed by Mr. Govind Suryawanshi, Director - Corporate Affairs, Royal Canin India & Vice Chairperson, IFCCI Food and Agri Committee, setting the context, acknowledging the Government’s recent initiatives and broadly outlining the Industry challenges.
