The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) in Bangalore organised a panel discussion on “Implications on doing business – General Elections 2019” on Thursday, 30th May 2019 at The Consulate of France in Bangalore.
The event began with a welcome note by Ms. Elisa Khetty, Vice-President of IFCCI, and a brief introduction of the panellists:

- Dr. Priyanca Mathur Velath, Associate Professor, Centre for Research in Social Sciences and Education (CERSSE), School of Humanities and Social Sciences & Coordinator, Centre for Public Policy and Governance
- Dr. Rupa Chanda, RBI Chair in Economics; Professor – Economics & Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore
The Consul General of France in Bangalore, Mr. Francois Gautier, shared a few introductory words with the audience.
The panellists spoke extensively on the socio-economic political scenario of the country, with the focus on the impact on doing business and the business landscape. The current as well as future of the business landscape were discussed along with the possible reformations of various sectors, to aid the progress of the nation and doing business in the country.
The event saw an active participation from the Indo-French business community and the panel discussion was followed by an interactive and informative Q&A session with the audience.
