Jérôme Chartier is a French politician who represented the 7th constituency of the Val-d'Oise department in the National Assembly from 2002 to 2017. A member of The Republicans and its predecessor parties and has served as Mayor of Domont from 1995 to 2016. Jerome is also the Founding President of the Entretiens de Royaumont and since 2022, he is the Senior Lecturer at Essec Business School and President of C&C.
It was in 2003 that Jérôme Chartier relaunched the Entretiens de Royaumont which was created in 1947 by Henry Gouin and which disappeared in the early 1960s. This was a result from the convergence of his personal reflections and several decisive encounters. From its inception, the Entretiens de Royaumont were supported by Jérôme Monod, special advisor to President Jacques Chirac, and Emmanuel d’André, president of 3 Suisses and the Royaumont Foundation. In 2013 Les Entretiens celebrated their 10th anniversary and today it has become one of the major political think tanks in France, the absolute must for all decision makers from all horizons.
Context: In 2014, Les Entretiens took on a new dimension with editions being organised internationally starting with Madrid, then Casablanca, then Varsaw etc.. And now in collaboration with IFCCI, the first India edition of this event will be organised in Mumbai on 17th October 2024. This India edition will contribute to influence the economic, diplomatic, cultural relationship, scientific, human, between the two nations and be a part of the enlightenment of Entretiens de Royaumont.
