Session on Powering Consumer Insights by leveraging Marketing Technologies with FLAME University

IFCCI under the aegis of Consumer Goods & Services and MarCom Committee organized a Session on Powering Consumer Insights by leveraging MarcTech.

The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), under the aegis of IFCCI Consumer Goods & Services and IFCCI MarCom Committee and in association with FLAME University, organised the Session on Powering Consumer Insights by leveraging Marketing Technologies, on 26th May 2023.

The Session brought together seasoned practitioners and eminent academicians in the space of marketing technologies and experts from the Consumer Goods and Services Industry to discuss and deliberate on current practices, challenges and opportunities related to powering consumer insights by leveraging MarTech.

Ms. Aarushi Gautam, Manager - Committees & Events (North), IFCCI, while welcoming everyone, introduced IFCCI and its Committees to the participants and expert speakers who joined the Session - Dr. Preetha Menon, Assistant Dean - Faculty of Communication, FLAME University, Dr. Abhishek Borah, Assistant Professor of Marketing, INSEAD, Fontainebleau, Mr. Mustufa Arsiwalla, CMO, Britannia Bel Foods and Mr. Siddharth Nangia, Co-Founder, Smytten.

Dr. Preetha Menon, Assistant Dean - Faculty of Communication, FLAME University, in her remarks, highlighted the rapidly changing consumer behaviour and the essential collaboration between consumer insights teams and marketing teams. She also gave a detailed insight on how the effects of various events will continue to influence purchasing behaviour. 

This was followed by an engaging and insightful Panel Discussion wherein Dr. Preetha Menon was in conversation with Dr. Abhishek Borah, Mr. Mustufa Arsiwalla and Mr. Siddharth Nangia. They discussed the MarTech tools and methods used in their organisations like text mining, framing, communication and streamlining the approach. They also talked about the innovative methods used to cull consumer insights with data collected through MarTech like media execution and campaign measurements. The discussion was enlightening as it also touched upon the advancements in academic research that is leading to better consumer insights and data analytics in marketing academia.

This was followed by an interactive question and answer session with the participants.

Mr. Alamjit Singh Sekhon, Chairperson, IFCCI Consumer Goods & Services Committee and Mr. Vivek Mani, Vice Chairperson, IFCCI Consumer Goods & Services Committee highlighted the various activities organized by the Consumer Goods Committee of the Chamber during the last few months and encouraged member companies to partner with IFCCI for such knowledge sharing seminars.
