Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry successfully conducted Logistics and Retail Committee Meeting on the “Role of Logistics in Retail: Driver for Growth and Customer Value” on Friday, 11th October 2019 at Bolloré Logistics India Ltd., Gurugram.
The Committee Meeting commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Francois Arpels, Chairman, IFCCI Retail committee and Co-Founder, Brands & Beyond.
This was followed by a comprehensive presentation by Ms. Upasana Rao, Partner, Trilegal, highlighting regulatory updates on Retail & Logistics sector with a focus on various retail business models (e-commerce, wholesale, food, franchise, single-brand retail and multi-brand retail).
Mr. Vivek Whig, VP - Supply Chain, Reliance Brands Limited gave a background on Reliance Brand and shared newer initiatives in the areas of retail and supply chain, stressing on the importance of compliances and reverse logistics
Mr. Philippe Gathion, GM - Projects and Oil and Gas, South Asia, Bollore Logistics India Ltd. spoke on how logistics can play a key role in customer satisfaction and enlightened the participants on the tools being implemented recently in this sector to make the sector more efficient.
IFCCI Logistics Committee Chairman, Mr. Vaibhav Vohra concluded the Session with Vote of Thanks, thanking all speakers and participants for an informative Session.
