Bangalore : Defence & Aerospace Seminar 2018
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) in Bangalore held the third edition of the Indo-French Defence and Aerospace Seminar on 25th October 2018, hosted at the Novotel Bengaluru Techpark.
Mr. François Gautier, Consul General of France in Bangalore honoured the event, and addressed the gathering and spoke on Indo-French collaborations and the strengthening of the Defence & Aerospace industries and the growing eco system in the country.
The seminar progressed to the first panel discussion, where the topics discussed were the current scale and size of both the sectors; the scope, challenges and opportunities in the country, along with collaborations between Indian SME’s and foreign OEM’s by Mr. Venkataramana Mantha, CEO of Assystem Technologies; Mr. Damodaran Subramanian, Managing Director of Safran Engineering Services; Mr. Stephane Lavigne, VP Sales & Marketing, Thales in India; Mr. Ravikiran Pothukuchi, Industry Leader Defence & Aerospace, Dassault Systèmes; Mr. K G Subramony, Advisor, Aerospace & Defence, SAS Partners; Mr. PA Praveen, Director of Aerospace & Defence, Government of Telangana moderated by Mr. Yogesh Singh, Partner Corporate Practice at Trilegal.
Mr. Venkataramana Mantha, CEO of Assystem Technologies, stepped in as moderator for the second session of the panel discussion, on the importance of skill and education vis-à-vis current state and future of job opportunities and innovations in the Aerospace and Defence sectors.
Following the insightful dialogue, the session was opened up to an interactive audience Q&A where the participants of the event, who included over 100 C-Level executives from French and Indian companies, posed questions to our distinguished panel and got to learn their views.
