Background:

India’s data protection landscape has entered a transformative phase with the enactment of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, following the recognition of privacy as a fundamental right by the Supreme Court of India. As organizations reassess how they manage employee, customer, and third-party data—particularly across shared services, GCCs, and cross-border operating models, the need for structured compliance planning has become critical.

This session will provide practical insights into the DPDP framework, organizational accountability, business implications, and a roadmap to readiness in the new data protection era in India.

Agenda Spotlight:

  • DPDP Act & Rules – Overview
  • Organizational Accountability Under the DPDP Regime
  • Business Implications Across Operating Models
  • Roadmap to Compliance

Speaker:

Mr. Lalit Kalra, National Data Privacy Consulting Partner, EY India
