Mr. Kavindra MishraMD & CEO, House of Anita Dongre
Since his appointment at House of Anita Dongre in April 2019, Mr. Kavindra Mishra has been instrumental in aligning the brand strategies of AND and Global Desi which are a big part of the company’s portfolio. In a short span of 1 year with the fashion house, he has created a roadmap for the ecommerce growth of both the brands, which is now contributing significantly to the brand’s sales. Identifying product extensions for the brand has been Mr. Mishra’s forte. He has launched Global Desi Girl for the 4-12 year old consumer and a chic Maternity line under the AND brand.
In his role as Managing Director at Pepe Jeans India for almost 6 years, Mr. Mishra has been instrumental in making Pepe Jeans one of the most aspirational and profitable denim brand in country. Under his vision and direction, Pepe Jeans Sales grew 2.7 times and profitability had more than doubled, helping the brand cross the 1000 crore milestone in retail sales in FY2018-19.
Mr. Mishra acquired his Master’s degree from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in 1999. He started his retail career in 1999 as Area Sales Manager at Madura Coats and continued his career at Madura Garments as Brand Manager for AllenSolly. During his 5 year stint with Allen Solly, Mr. Mishra has played a significant role in the execution of the brands most celebrated campaign - “Solly at Work”; which was responsible for further establishing the brand in the Indian market.
In 2006, as the Vice President of Tommy Hilfiger, he was responsible for the brand’s rapid growth and expansion in the form an increasing number of exclusive brand outlets and department stores in the country. In 2009, Mr. Kavindra Mishra joined United Colors of Benetton (UCB) as their Commercial Director.
Mr. Mishra is an avid Marathon runner, having participated in many marathons in the country as well as internationally. He loves reading and spending time with his family. His favourite book is ‘Difficulty of being good’ by Gurucharan Das – that explores events in the Mahabharata while trying to draw parallels from contemporary world. Mr. Mishra is an extremely optimistic individual with a deep sense of spirituality.
