Farhad Forbes is Co-Chairman of Forbes Marshall, one of India’s leading companies in the fields of steam engineering, energy conservation, utilities management, and industrial process automation and control.
Farhad received his BS in 1977 and an MS in electrical engineering in 1979 from Stanford University. He also received an MS in Management in 1991 from the Sloan Master’s Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Farhad is the Chairman of the Board of Family Business Network International. FBN International is the world’s leading family business organisation. It was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland. FBN International brings together over 4000 family businesses, 16,000 individual members including more than 6,400 Next-Generation members. FBN operates through 33 chapters in 65 countries.
He is Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) National Task Force on Affirmative Action. He is past chairman of CII Family Business Network India Chapter and CII Western Region. Farhad is a former member of the Advisory Council, Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, and a former member of the Advisory Board of the MSx Program (formerly the Sloan Master’s Program) at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a recipient of the Sloan Distinguished Alumni Service Award.
