The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in collaboration with Nexdigm, successfully hosted an insightful webinar on “What Successful European SMEs Do Differently in India.”

The discussion explored the common challenges and strategic mistakes European SMEs encounter while entering and operating in India from applying a copy-paste headquarters model and navigating regulatory complexities to managing working capital, receivables, inventory, and margins.
Key insights from the session highlighted the importance of adopting an “India for India” approach, building strong financial controls and processes from the outset, engaging local experts early, and investing in the right people, technology, and partnerships. The speakers also shared valuable perspectives on localisation, regional diversity, and government engagement, reinforcing that long-term success in India requires local integration, strong partnerships, and a deep understanding of the country's diverse business and regulatory landscape.
