Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) successfully organized an exclusive Hager Electro Factory Visit in Pune on 13th March 2024 to celebrate International Women's Day with the women-run-workforce highlighting excellence in manufacturing.
Ms. Rucha Awati, Manager – Membership & Events at IFCCI Pune shared the welcome remarks.
Mr. Atulya Chandra, MD & Country Manager, Hager Electro presented the manufacturing process at Hager which is efficiently run by their women workforce. He highlighted the measures taken up by Hager to achieve zero accidents in the factory and to ensure the safety and well-being of their employees. He emphasized on the fact that their India facility is 100% women operated plant and also shared some of the challenges witnessed by women in manufacturing.
Following this, Ms. Sonali Pawar, currently leading ‘LeadHer’, a Women's Network and R&D Operational Excellence Head at Michelin, Pune, spoke on women empowerment and about this initiative at Michelin. Her presentation sparked many conversations with the participants, making the session interactive.
These presentations were followed by the factory tour and ended with a Dental Check-Up camp powered by Peraj Insurance.
The visit was highly appreciated and well received by 25+ participants & concluded with a networking lunch.
