IFCCI successfully organised a Knowledge session on "Intellectual Property Rights & International Trade" in collaboration with Altacit Global.
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) successfully organised a Knowledge session on "Intellectual Property Rights & International Trade: Emerging Trends and Challenges" in collaboration with Altacit Global: Overview | LinkedIn on September 15, 2023, with the support of T-Hub T-Hub: Overview | LinkedIn. This enlightening session garnered the attendance of startup founders and senior leaders from the corporate sector.
The event took place in the boardroom of @T-Hub, starting with a networking breakfast and followed by an informative knowledge session. Mr. Nakul Dalwala, Assistant Manager of Events & Membership at IFCCI, extended a warm welcome to the audience and introduced the distinguished speakers.
Wg Cdr Anthony Anish (Retd), the Chief Delivery Officer (CDO) of T-Hub, delivered the opening remarks, setting the stage by emphasizing the significance of safeguarding Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for startups as they establish their foundations.
The session was led by Mr. Naveen Kumar S, Senior Patent Associate at Altacit Global, who commenced with an overview of various types of IPR across industries, ranging from FMCG to electronics. He provided examples and insights into what can be patented and trademarked, concluding with a presentation displaying global industry-wise statistics on inventions. This engaging presentation sparked curiosity among the audience, resulting in multiple queries and making it an interactive session.
On the other hand, Ms. Dhruti Choudhury Branch Head of Altacit Global's Hyderabad office, shed light on IPR in the context of international trade. She presented case studies of well-known companies, emphasizing the importance of filing IP regionally, nationally, and internationally.
The event concluded with an active Q&A session, further enriching the knowledge-sharing experience.
