An Experiential Site Visit and Chocolate-Making Workshop
IFCCI hosted an Experiential Site Visit and Chocolate-Making Workshop at the Darkins Chocolate Factory in New Delhi on 23 September 2025.
On 23 September 2025, the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), under the aegis of its Consumer Goods & Services Committee, hosted an Experiential Site Visit and Chocolate-Making Workshop at the Darkins Chocolate Factory in New Delhi. The exclusive program offered IFCCI members an immersive journey into the bean-to-bar chocolate-making process, blending sensory delight with valuable industry insights.
The afternoon began with a warm welcome from Ms. Aarushi Gautam, Senior Manager – Committees & Events at IFCCI, who introduced Celebrating Indulgences as an exclusive event series designed to help members explore evolving consumer trends and the art of creating memorable brand experiences through interactive, hands-on experiences.
Setting the tone for the event, Mr. Prajnay Garg, Founder of Darkins, welcomed the guests and shared the brand’s inspiring story, highlighting the founders' commitment. His remarks were followed by an engaging session led by Mr. Karan Singh, Head of Marketing, who guided participants through each step of the chocolate making journey - from grinding cacao beans to molding and crafting their own artisanal chocolates. The workshop concluded with participants immersing themselves in the joy of creation, culminating in a delightful tasting session.
A key highlight was a fireside chat moderated by Mr. Bharat Singhal, Vice Chairperson of the IFCCI Consumer Goods & Services Committee and Founder of Bili Hu. The panel featured Ms. Apeksha Jain, Founder of The Gourmet Jar; Ms. Ananya Bhandare, Founder of Jungly Delights; and Mr. Prajnay Garg, Founder of Darkins
The conversation delved into how indulgence is increasingly influencing brand strategy and driving companies to craft more aspirational narratives. It also highlighted the rising importance of experiential marketing in creating memorable, multisensory brand engagements that go beyond traditional advertising. Additionally, the discussion emphasized the growing global appeal of homegrown Indian brands, particularly within premium consumer segments, where cultural richness and innovation are taking centerstage.
The event concluded successfully with participants leaving not only with handcrafted chocolates but also with fresh insights into how immersive experiences can foster deeper, lasting consumer connections.
