IFCCI, in association with UJA Global Advisory, organised a webinar on ‘From IT to Finance: Building Robust SOPs Across Business Functions’.
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in collaboration with UJA Global Advisory, organised a webinar on ‘From IT to Finance: Building Robust Standard Operating Procedures Across Business Functions’ on Thursday, 6th November 2025.
The session commenced with welcome remarks by Ms. Rucha Awati, Manager – Events & Membership (North), IFCCI, who highlighted the importance of structured operational frameworks and the role of well-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in enhancing efficiency and compliance across business functions.
Following this, Ms. Olivia Calvet, General Manager – France, International Business Consulting, UJA Global Advisory Pvt. Ltd., gave an overview of UJA’s services and shared key insights on the significance of SOPs in ensuring consistency and accountability across global operations.
The keynote presentations were delivered by Ms. Ritasha Talwar, Senior Partner, UJA Global Advisory, and Mr. Uddeshya Kumar, Assistant Manager, UJA Global Advisory. They provided valuable insights into designing and implementing SOPs to streamline operations and strengthen internal governance within organisations. The discussion covered the following key areas:
- IT Infrastructure Management SOP - Emphasised secure password policies, access control, and data backup with clear retention rules. Stressed regulated IT usage, incident tracking, and management reviews to ensure system reliability.
- Financial Statement Closure SOP - Outlined structured month-end and year-end checklists, validated reconciliations, and approval-based entries. Highlighted strong documentation and CFO/auditor sign-offs to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Fixed Assets Procurement & Management SOP - Focused on capital expenditure approvals, asset tagging, verification, and reconciliations. Stressed proper disposal procedures with approvals and documentation to maintain transparency and compliance.
- Each segment underlined the role of robust SOPs in ensuring consistency, efficiency, and strong governance across business functions.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A round, where participants sought clarifications on SOP implementation challenges, technology integration in process design, and best practices for aligning internal controls with regulatory standards.
