The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in collaboration with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), co-organised the Regional Industry Summit 2025 on Friday, 28th November 2025 in Pune, centred around the theme Innovation | Intelligence | Influence.

The Summit brought together the French, German and Indian business communities for a high-impact day of dialogue and collaboration. With 500+ delegates, 40+ speakers, 15+ sessions and 25+ exhibitors, the event provided a strong platform to explore the future of industry.

The day began with welcome remarks by Shweta Pahuja, Regional Director for the Western Region (IFCCI) and Kalpesh Saraf, Regional Director (IGCC), followed by the Inaugural Address from Jan Noether, Director General (IGCC).
A Special Address by Christoph Hallier, Consul General for Germany in Mumbai, highlighted the strength of Indo-European partnerships.
Archana Pathare, Regional Officer (MIDC) offered a regional perspective on Maharashtra’s expanding industrial ecosystem.

Key Sessions:

A high-level CXO dialogue explored leadership priorities in a fast-changing global environment, underscoring the importance of adaptability and digital readiness.
Panels and fireside conversations through the day examined trends in manufacturing, innovation, sustainability, digital transformation, regulation and workforce evolution.

The Summit featured three parallel breakout tracks, offering delegates the opportunity to engage with specialised themes relevant to evolving industrial demands.

The sessions spanned a diverse set of topics, including:

  • AI-enabled manufacturing precision and factory autonomy
  • Innovation-to-impact approaches for R&D-heavy sectors
  • Sustainable industrial and water management practices
  • The rise of Engineering Global Capability Centres and product development shifts
  • India–EU FTA developments • Skills transformation for the human–machine era
  • Global location strategy for manufacturing and delivery networks

Afternoon networking over lunch allowed delegates to connect and exchange perspectives before the sessions resumed.

The afternoon discussions then provided an international view of risk, resilience and investment sentiment. Speakers addressed shifting supply chains, digital disruption, geopolitical volatility and rising investor confidence in India’s growth trajectory, offering a balanced understanding of the opportunities and challenges ahead.

The Summit concluded with an inspiring keynote by Padma Vibhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, who spoke about innovation as a driver of sustainable and inclusive growth. His principle of “More from Less for More” reinforced the importance of purposeful innovation for industry.

The exhibition showcased 25+ companies across manufacturing, engineering and digital transformation.
Networking remained a key highlight, culminating in a wine, beer and cheese evening that encouraged meaningful connections and collaboration.

The Summit concluded on a positive note, with valuable insights and partnerships emerging from the day’s discussions. We thank all partners, speakers and delegates for contributing to the success of the Regional Industry Summit 2025.
