The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in collaboration with  Greenvissage Business Consulting, organised a webinar on 'Strengthening Subsidiary Compliance: Risks & Remedies' on Wednesday, 21 January 2026.

The session opened with welcome remarks by Ms. Rucha Awati, Manager – Events & Membership (Pune), IFCCI, who highlighted the growing compliance complexities faced by foreign subsidiaries operating in India and the importance of adopting proactive governance and regulatory practices.

The knowledge session was led by Ms. Piyushaa Mahadeokar, Head – Compliance and Regulatory, Greenvissage Business Consulting LLP. Drawing on her extensive experience in corporate compliance and regulatory advisory, she shared practical insights into commonly observed compliance gaps and their legal, financial, and operational implications for foreign-owned entities.

The discussion focused on strengthening compliance frameworks across critical areas, including:

• Board governance, statutory filings, financial transactions, significant beneficial ownership, and related party compliances
• Recent amendments and new compliance requirements under the Companies Act, 2013
• Practical approaches to integrating regulatory obligations into existing processes through stronger internal controls, structured compliance calendars, and disciplined record management

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, during which participants raised practical questions on compliance timelines, governance structures, and risk mitigation strategies, followed by closing remarks from IFCCI.
