The France India Foundation (FIF) successfully concluded the 4th Edition of its Young Leaders Programme

The France India Foundation (FIF) successfully concluded the fourth edition of its Young Leaders Programme, held from July 2 to 5 2026, across Paris and Provence, France. The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) is the Executive Partner of the France India Foundation, supporting its mission to deepen institutional and strategic ties between France and India. The programme brought together 30 French and Indian Young Leaders for an enriching exchange on institutional dialogue, strategic cooperation and shared leadership.

The programme started in Paris on July 2 with an Icebreaker session and a discussion on “Inventing Tomorrow: AI, Talent and Human Potential in the Knowledge Age” featuring Young Leaders: Martin de Gourcuff, Flore Cousin, Apala Mishra, and Manan Suri. The delegation then visited the Senate which was hosted by Senator Édouard Courtial (Young Leader 2016), followed by a guided visit of the Pantheon. The day also included an exclusive visit and a private cocktail reception held at the Louis Vuitton Atelier and Family Home in Asnières-sur-Seine - a site rarely opened beyond Louis Vuitton's own circle. Delegates were warmly welcomed by LVMH Secretary General, Mr. Marc-Antoine Jamet, followed by a keynote address by Young Leader Masoom Minawala.

On July 3, the delegation turned to two of the defining pillars of France-India cooperation: Defence and Energy. The day started with an exclusive visit to Air Base 125 Istres, which offered Young Leaders rare insight into the operational and strategic dimensions of French defence capabilities. This was followed by a visit to the ITER Organization in Cadarache, hosted by Director-General Mr. Pietro Barabaschi. There, the Young Leaders witnessed one of the world’s most ambitious scientific undertakings, a 33-nation collaboration to demonstrate the feasibility of fusion energy. The day concluded with an evening reception hosted by NSI Group, a partner of the Fondation France-Asie, providing further opportunities for informal exchanges amongst the cohort.

The third day (July 4) shifted the conversation to global economic transformation, with Young Leaders joining the Rencontres Économiques d’Aix, hosted by Le Cercle des économistes, for a session titled “Investing in the Future: Capital, Growth and the New Geography of Opportunity.” The discussion, featuring Philippe Setbon (CEO, Natixis Investment Managers), Arnaud Ventura and Young Leaders David Djaïz, Sarita Kaloya and Laurent Suster, explored shifting market dynamics and emerging opportunities in the global economy. The delegation then travelled to the picturesque town of Gordes and the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque, arriving at the height of Provence’s lavender season for a particularly memorable visit. Here, the Young Leaders came together for a discussion session, “Beyond Achievement: Redefining Success in the 21st Century,” reflecting on evolving notions of success, purpose and leadership.

The seminar concluded on July 5 at Château La Coste, where the Young Leaders explored the intersection of art, architecture, and viticulture - a fitting close to a programme centred on building bridges between generations, cultures, and expertise across the two nations.
