The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP) India, organised a Roundtable Meeting on “Future-Ready Food Systems: Industry Leadership for Nutrition and Resilience” on 6 May 2026 in New Delhi. The session brought together industry leaders and stakeholders to discuss the role of the private sector in building smarter, inclusive, and resilient food systems in India.
The session commenced with opening remarks by Ms. Aarushi Gautam, Senior Manager – Committees and Events, IFCCI, followed by welcome remarks by Ms. Elisabeth Faure, Representative and Country Director, UNWFP and Chairperson, IFCCI Food & Agri Committee. She highlighted the evolving India-France strategic partnership and emphasised the importance of collaboration, innovation, and private sector engagement in strengthening future-ready food systems.
Mr. Anurag Pratap, Chairperson – IFCCI CSR Committee and Vice President & Head of CSR – India, Capgemini, underlined the value of such platforms in fostering dialogue and convergence among stakeholders. The roundtable discussion, moderated by Mr. Kaustuv Chakrabarti, Head – Private Sector Partnerships and SSTC, UNWFP, focused on innovation, food distribution, food processing, accessibility, and technology-enabled solutions to improve nutrition and resilience outcomes at scale.
The session also featured special remarks by Rt. IAS Vrinda Sarup, Managing Trustee, WFP Trust for India, who highlighted the importance of women in agriculture and technology-enabled interventions in improving food accessibility and distribution systems. The event concluded with closing remarks by Ms. Rita Sarin, Chairperson, WFP Trust for India, who emphasised the importance of collaboration and long-term commitment in driving meaningful impact.
The discussions concluded with a networking high tea, providing participants an opportunity to continue conversations and exchange perspectives.
