Industry Roundtable with Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC)
IFCCI organised an exclusive B2G Roundtable with TNSDC and representatives of leading French companies on 21st August 2025 at Pullman, Chennai.
On 21st August 2025, the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) convened an exclusive Business-to-Government (B2G) Roundtable in Chennai, bringing together the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) and senior representatives of leading French companies, including Capgemini, Michelin, Renault, Systra MVA Consulting, Stellantis, and Valeo India. The deliberations were held at Pullman Chennai, alongside the Indo-French Mobility Conclave.
The session served as a platform to advance dialogue and collaboration on workforce development and skilling initiatives in Tamil Nadu. Key dignitaries who addressed the gathering included Mr. Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS, Managing Director, TNSDC; Mr. Étienne Rolland-Piègue, Consul General of France in Pondicherry & Chennai; Mr. Benoît Gauthier, Head of the Regional Economic Department, Embassy of France in India; and Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI.
The discussions highlighted TNSDC’s ongoing efforts to enhance graduate employability through targeted upskilling programmes, industry-aligned curricula, and strengthened partnerships with the private sector. French industry leaders provided perspectives on their evolving talent requirements and presented recommendations to reinforce public–private collaboration, aimed at equipping the workforce with skills aligned to future industry needs.
The dialogue reaffirmed the shared commitment of both sides to fostering a future-ready workforce in Tamil Nadu, equipped with the skills and competencies necessary to meet global industry standards. The Roundtable concluded with a consensus on the importance of sustained engagement between TNSDC and French industry players, paving the way for long-term collaboration in workforce development.
