Indo-French Investment Conclave – Madhya Pradesh 2026

The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in collaboration with MP Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) and the Embassy of France in India, successfully organised the first Indo-French Investment Conclave in Madhya Pradesh on 12th May 2026 in Bhopal. The conclave brought together over 150 delegates including government officials, diplomats, policymakers, institutional stakeholders, and senior industry leaders from India and France to strengthen Indo-French economic cooperation and explore investment opportunities in the state.
Held in the distinguished presence of H.E. Mr. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India and Mr. Chetanya Kasyap, Hon’ble Minister for MSME, Government of Madhya Pradesh, the conclave highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s growing importance as a strategic destination for French investments and industrial partnerships.
The conference featured presentations by senior government officials including Mr. Raghwendra Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Government of Madhya Pradesh, showcasing the state’s investor-friendly ecosystem, industrial infrastructure, policy framework, and sectoral opportunities across renewable energy, manufacturing, healthcare, agribusiness, logistics, mobility, advanced technologies, and education. The conclave also featured a presentation by Mr. Armstrong Pame, Joint Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, on the upcoming Bharat Innovates Initiative and the Indo-French Innovation Network introduced during the India-France Year of Innovation 2026.
A key highlight of the conclave was the panel discussion on “Unlocking Madhya Pradesh: Policy, Partnerships & Pathways for Sustainable Investment”, moderated by Ms. Axelle Blanchard, Deputy Head of the French Regional Economic Department for India and South Asia, Embassy of France in India, featuring Mr. Jean-Marc Leclercq, CEO India, Soufflet Malt; Dr. Kalirajan Sivagnana, Managing Director, EDF Nuclear Projects; Mr. Nakul Verma, Sr. Director – Public Affairs, Sanofi; and Mr. Aaditya Vidyarthi, Director – Cities & Public Services, Dassault Systèmes.
The conclave also witnessed the exchange of 7 Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and 2 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between Dassault Systèmes, ENGIE India, POMA Ropeways, Soufflet Malt, SYSTRA India, Tesca Group, aivancity School of AI & Data for Business & Society, Medicaps University, Sanofi, IFCCI, and MPIDC across sectors including renewable energy, mobility, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, infrastructure, higher education, and emerging technologies.
Focused B2B and B2G meetings facilitated direct interactions between French companies, government representatives, and Indian stakeholders to explore long-term industrial partnerships and future investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.
On the sidelines of the conclave, a high-level roundtable interaction was hosted by Dr. Mohan Yadav, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, with a delegation of over 20 French companies exploring opportunities in the state. The programme also included curated cultural visits to the Tribal Museum and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bhimbetka Rock Shelters, offering delegates a deeper experience of Madhya Pradesh’s cultural heritage.
The Madhya Pradesh edition of the Indo-French Investment Conclave marked another important milestone in IFCCI’s continued efforts to foster innovation-led partnerships and strengthen long-term economic and industrial ties between India and France.
