IFCCI x ICICI Bank | Inter Chamber Event with EU Chambers | 28th April 2026
IFCCI in association with ICICI Bank Ltd. and other European chambers, organised an Inter-Chamber event in Mumbai on April 28, 2026.
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI), in association with ICICI Bank Ltd. and other European chambers, organised an Inter-Chamber event on “India’s Global Playbook: Navigating Complexity, Creating Opportunity” in Mumbai on April 28, 2026.
The event brought together representatives from foreign banks, multinational organisations, and institutional stakeholders for an evening of insightful discussions and meaningful networking.
The session commenced with welcome remarks by Mr. Rakesh Jha, Executive Director, ICICI Bank Ltd., who set the context for the evening by highlighting India’s evolving role in the global economic landscape.
This was followed by a fireside chat with Mr. Nitin A. Gokhale, Founder, BharatShakti Platform and Mr. Sameer Narang, Head – Economic Research Group, ICICI Bank Ltd.
The discussion offered sharp insights into geopolitical developments and their implications on global trade, investment flows, and business strategy. It also explored how businesses can navigate rising geopolitical uncertainties, shifting alliances, and supply chain realignments, while positioning India as a key partner in an increasingly complex global environment.
The evening continued with a panel discussion on “Role of Chambers in helping MNCs turn Complexity into Opportunity”, bringing together representatives from leading bilateral chambers:

The panel highlighted the critical role of chambers in supporting multinational companies through market entry, regulatory navigation, and building strong local partnerships.
Discussions also focused on how strong government-to-government relationships are translating into tangible business opportunities, the growing role of European companies in India’s strategic sectors such as energy and infrastructure, and the importance of a long-term, locally anchored approach to succeed in the Indian market.
The session concluded with Mr. Anupam Verma, Head – International Financial Institutions Group, Syndication & International Banking Coordination, ICICI Bank Ltd.
The evening concluded with a networking dinner, encouraging meaningful connections among participants.
