The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) in association with Air Liquide India co-hosted the Air Liquide COMEX Breakfast Roundtable, held in honour of the visit of Ms. Emilie Mouren-Renouard, Group Vice President – Europe, Africa, Middle East & India, Group Public Affairs, and Executive Committee Member, Air Liquide Group.
The session commenced with welcome remarks by Mr. Gajanan Nabar, CEO, Air Liquide India, followed by opening remarks from Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI.
In her keynote address, Ms. Emilie Mouren-Renouard shared her perspectives on India’s evolving economic and business landscape and opened the floor for an engaging dialogue with participating companies. The discussion brought together CEOs, business leaders, advisors and institutional stakeholders to exchange experiences on operating in India, their growth journeys, lessons from navigating challenges, and perspectives on the opportunities ahead.
The discussion highlighted key opportunities and priorities shaping India’s business and investment landscape:
- - Rapid growth in data centres and India’s emergence as a #GCC hub
- - Strong investment potential across EVs,renewables, semiconductors, #healthcare, railways and #infrastructure
- - Growing French business presence and confidence in India
- - Talent development and skills as both opportunities and challenges
- - Continued focus on infrastructure, #energy, logistics, recycling, technology adoption, quality, safety and compliance
- - The importance of consistent #policyimplementation and continued industry–government engagement
- - The India–EU FTA as a potential catalyst for stronger trade and investment ties
The candid exchange reaffirmed India’s strong growth potential while highlighting the continued efforts needed to strengthen competitiveness, investor confidence and sustainable business growth.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Nicolas Poirot, CEO – Africa, Middle East & India, emphasised the importance of deepening #IndiaFranceEconomicCooperation and building new pathways for long-term collaboration, innovation and shared growth.
