The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) organized a virtual session on “Transforming Food Supply Chains: The Role of Cold Storage and Smart Logistics” on Monday, 8th September 2025. Jointly hosted by IFCCI’s Food & Agri and Logistics & Supply Chain Committees, the session brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss how cold storage infrastructure and smart logistics can make India’s food supply chains more sustainable, resilient, and future-ready.
The session commenced with opening remarks by Ms. Aarushi Gautam, Senior Manager – Committees & Events (North), IFCCI, who set the context of the discussion, followed by a video message by Mr. Vaibhav Vohra, Chairperson, IFCCI Logistics & Supply Chain Committee and Managing Director, Continental Carriers, enlightening members on the vision and the past initiatives of the Committee.
Mr. Asheesh Fotedar, COO, NCCD, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, delivered special remarks, highlighting the government’s role and the latest initiatives and policy programmes.
A panel discussion on the theme was moderated by Mr. Aditya Patni, Partner, Khaitan & Co., featuring distinguished panelists: Mr. Angshuman Siddhanta, Sustainable Cold Chain Expert, UN Environment Programme; Mr. Eric DEVIN, Member of the Board, Tecnea - Cemafroid and Mr. B Sumit Kumar, CEO, TCI Cold Chain Solutions Limited.
