IFCCI Chennai Member's Breakfast Session on Government policy landscape in India & Domestic and Cross Border Financing with DSK Legal

IFCCI organized the Chennai Members Breakfast session with DSK Legal as the Knowledge Partner

The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in association with DSK Legal as the Knowledge Partner, successfully hosted the IFCCI Chennai Members’ Breakfast Series on “Government Policy Landscape in India” and “Cross-Border & Domestic Financing: Focus on Real Estate” on 23 September 2026, at DSK Legal’s newly inaugurated Chennai office.

The meeting commenced with a networking breakfast and welcome remarks followed by the first session on Government Policy Landscape in India, led by Mr. Anand Desai, Managing Partner, and Dr. Vinay Preet Singh, Deputy Managing Partner, which explored key policy and regulatory shifts likely to influence French investment and business operations in India over the next 12–18 months. The discussion touched upon Ease of Doing Business and regulatory reform, foreign funding and regulatory oversight, Centre–State policy coordination, and public policy advocacy, with a focus on implementation challenges, areas requiring greater regulatory clarity, and practical inputs for constructive stakeholder engagement.

The second session, Cross-Border & Domestic Financing: Focus on Real Estate, was led by Mr. Srinivas B. R., Partner and Ms. Saloni Mody, Partner and it provided a practical perspective on how foreign and domestic capital is structured into real estate and real estate-backed assets in India, covering FDI in real estate and construction, FPI, REITs and AIFs, domestic equity and debt financing, ECB and cross-border funding, as well as security, enforcement and exit considerations.

The session witnessed participation from 10 member companies, with members actively engaging in the discussions and sharing their perspectives and experiences.
