IFCCI Chennai Member's Breakfast Networking Meeting on India’s New Labour Laws and Workforce Compliance
IFCCI in association with Trilegal as the Knowledge Partner organised a session on India’s New Labour Laws and Workforce Compliance
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in association with Trilegal as the Knowledge Partner, successfully hosted the IFCCI Chennai Members' Breakfast Series on the theme, "India's New Labour Laws and Workforce Compliance," today at Trilegal's Chennai office.
The session commenced with welcome remarks by Ms. R. Bhuvaneshwari, Deputy Head – Tradefairs, IFCCI, followed by a round of member introductions. The session then featured an insightful presentation by Ms. Apeksha Mattoo, Partner – General Corporate, Labour & Employment at Trilegal, who shared valuable perspectives on India's evolving labour law framework and its practical implications for businesses.
The discussion focused on how organisations can prepare for the implementation of the new Labour Codes, navigate the changing compliance landscape, and strengthen workforce governance practices. A key takeaway from the session was that, while the implementation framework continues to evolve, organisations should proactively align their internal processes and prepare for the upcoming compliance requirements. The discussion also underscored the importance of maintaining robust compliance mechanisms and responding promptly to regulatory communications as businesses transition into the new regime.
The session witnessed participation from representatives of 13 member companies, who actively engaged in the discussions and shared their perspectives. We extend our sincere thanks to all our members for their enthusiastic participation and valuable contributions, and to Trilegal for sharing their expertise and insights with our members.
