IFCCI’s 1st Edition Indo-French Manufacturing seminar brought together 80+ industry leaders to explore opportunities for Indo-French collaborations

The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) successfully hosted the inaugural Indo-French Manufacturing Seminar under the ages of IFCCI Industries committee, on 15 October 2026 in Pune, bringing together over 80 senior industry leaders to explore opportunities for Indo-French collaboration, innovation, and growth in manufacturing.

The seminar was anchored by Ms. Tracy Fernandes, Senior Manager – Events & Membership (Western Region), IFCCI. Ms. Shweta Pahuja, Regional Director (Western Region), IFCCI, delivered the welcome note, followed by opening remarks from Mr. Arun Sadheesh, Vice-Chairperson IFCCI Industries Committee, and Managing Director, TNP India, setting the context for the seminar.

Mr. Patrick Leverino, Consul General of France in Mumbai, delivered a special address highlighting opportunities to strengthen Indo-French industrial partnerships, with a focus on French investments and business expansion in the region. Dr. Amol Shinde, Joint CEO - Investment Promotion, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), highlighted Maharashtra’s investment opportunities and business landscape, emphasizing the importance of industry–government collaboration in fostering industrial growth.

The event also featured Ms. Ankita Patil, Chairperson, Women & Child Welfare Committee, Pune Zilla Parishad, who presented the organisation’s initiatives for women and child welfare, highlighting the importance of community-driven efforts and collaboration in creating meaningful grassroots impact.

The seminar featured two engaging panel discussions with industry leaders sharing valuable insights, experiences, and perspectives from across the manufacturing sector.

Panel 1: Strengthening Indo-French Manufacturing Competitiveness

Moderated by Ms. Shraddha Bhosale–   Principal Associate Head of General Commercial Advisory, RÖDL India Pvt. Ltd., the panel explored ways to strengthen India’s manufacturing competitiveness through skilled talent, quality standards, resilient supply chains, and deeper Indo-French collaboration.

Panel 2: Transforming Manufacturing Through AI, Digital Technologies and GCCs

Moderated by Mr. Arun Sadheesh , Managing Director , TNP India, the panel explored how Industry 5.0, AI, and digital technologies are transforming manufacturing through smarter operations, digital engineering, and customised production. The discussion also highlighted India’s growing role in global manufacturing, the expansion of GCCs, and opportunities to scale AI-driven solutions across international operations.

The seminar concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Nakul Dalwala, Manager – Events & Membership, Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI), Pune, who thanked all stakeholders for their valuable contributions and support.
