IFCCI hosted the 3rd Edition of the Indo-French Sustainability Conclave 2026 in Chennai

The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in partnership with the Consulate General of France in Pondicherry and Chennai, successfully hosted the 3rd Edition of the Indo-French Sustainability Conclave on 12 June 2026 at The Leela Palace, Chennai.

Organized under the aegis of the India–France Year of Innovation, the conclave brought together industry leaders, sustainability experts, innovators, and decision-makers to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping a more sustainable future.

The event commenced with welcome remarks by Mr. Yohann Samuel, Regional Director – Southern Region, IFCCI, followed by an address from Mr. Christophe Bramoullé, Deputy Consul General & Head of Bureau de France in Chennai, who highlighted the strength of Indo-French collaboration and the importance of innovation in advancing sustainability goals.

The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Sreedhar N., Senior Vice President & CEO – APAC and India, Saint-Gobain India, who emphasized the role of innovation, sustainability, and collective action in accelerating the transition towards a sustainable built environment.

Panel 1: Advancing Net-Zero Buildings

• The session examined emerging technologies, innovation trends, and the evolving sustainability landscape across industries.

  Concurrent Activities

On 11 June 2026, delegates were welcomed to the Saint-Gobain Innovation Hub – India at IIT Madras Research Park for a site visit. Led by Mr. Kartik Kumar, Site Director, the visit provided participants with a first-hand understanding of Saint-Gobain's approach to research, innovation, workplace inclusivity, and sustainability, while offering valuable insights into the practices and thinking shaping the built environment of tomorrow.

As part of the conclave, delegates also participated in a Climate Fresk Workshop facilitated by Mr. Aravind (HSE2i), providing an interactive platform to understand the causes and impacts of climate change and identify opportunities for collective action.
