Two-day business delegation to Bhutan
IFCCI was proud to facilitate a 2-day business delegation to Bhutan, led by H.E. Mr. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India with Team France.
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) was proud to facilitate a successful two-day business delegation to Bhutan, led by H.E. Mr. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, in collaboration with Team France.
This mission brought together 11 leading French companies from the Renewable Energy, Agribusiness, and Healthcare sectors to explore opportunities and understand Bhutan’s evolving business landscape.
Over two impactful days, the delegation engaged with six key Bhutanese Ministries — Commerce & Industry, Energy and Natural Resources, Education, Health, Foreign Affairs and External Trade — and concluded with a high-level meeting with the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bhutan.
The visit culminated in an exclusive audience with His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, who shared his visionary plans for the Gelephu Mindfulness City — a project rooted in sustainability, innovation, and wellbeing. Our Director General, Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, and Mr. Yohann Samuel, Director General - South, were honoured to be part of this important mission and represent IFCCI on the ground.
