IFCCI Webinar on ‘Algorithms under Watch: AI Compliance and Ethics in the DPDP Era’
IFCCI, in association with S.S. Rana & Co, organised a webinar on ‘Algorithms under Watch: AI Compliance and Ethics in the DPDP Era’ on 21st Jan 2026.
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in association with S.S. Rana & Co., successfully convened a webinar titled ‘Algorithms under Watch: AI Compliance and Ethics in the DPDP Era’ on 21st January 2026.
The session examined the implications of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), along with the Rules framed thereunder, on the development and deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems across diverse sectors, including Healthcare, Fintech, and E-commerce.
The webinar commenced with welcome remarks by Ms. Aarushi Gautam, Sr. Manager – Committees & Events (North) at IFCCI. She highlighted the relevance of the session in fostering awareness and facilitating informed dialogue among industry stakeholders navigating the regulatory landscape shaped by the DPDP Act.
The session was led by Ms. Anuradha Gandhi, Managing Associate at S.S. Rana & Co., who delivered a detailed and analytical presentation on the legal and ethical responsibilities incumbent upon AI developers and deployers under India’s evolving data protection framework.
The session facilitated substantive deliberations on several critical aspects, including:
