The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in collaboration with HAROPA PORT, successfully convened a high-level engagement in New Delhi on Tuesday, 9 December 2025, bringing together senior representatives from the industry and the maritime ecosystem of both France and India. The objective of this strategic interaction was to explore emerging opportunities for cooperation in ports, logistics, supply chain connectivity, and sustainable maritime development, while reinforcing the growing economic partnership between the two nations.

The high-level breakfast roundtable commenced with welcome remarks by Ms. Rishika Roy, Deputy Director – North, IFCCI, who set the context for the discussion by emphasizing IFCCI’s continued commitment to facilitating meaningful dialogue between French and Indian stakeholders across priority sectors.

The session featured insightful interventions from distinguished speakers, including Mr. Kris Danaradjou, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, HAROPA PORT; Mr. Florent Mangin, Head of the Regional Economic Department at the Embassy of France in India; and Mr. Benoit Renard, Vice President (North), IFCCI, and Managing Director, Air Liquide India. Together, the speakers highlighted the depth, resilience, and strategic relevance of Indo-French economic cooperation, particularly in the context of global supply chain realignments, green transitions, and long-term industrial partnerships. The presentations elaborated on HAROPA Port's position as France’s leading port complex, encompassing the ports of Le Havre, Rouen, and Paris, and supported by robust maritime and multimodal connectivity. Particular emphasis was placed on the availability of direct India–Europe shipping routes, offering competitive transit times and access to over 110 regular commercial shipping services. The speakers also highlighted strong and growing bilateral trade flows between India and Europe, especially across key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, textiles, automotive, and manufacturing sectors. In addition, HAROPA’s clear and ambitious sustainability roadmap was outlined, showcasing initiatives in green logistics platforms, hydrogen initiatives, and their decarbonization efforts.
