The Indo French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), Pune in association with Greenvissage Business Consulting organized a webinar on ‘Corporate Tax Filing in India for French Subsidiaries’ on Wednesday, 25th June 2025
The session commenced with welcome remarks by Ms. Rucha Awati, Manager – Events & Membership (North), IFCCI, who highlighted the importance of keeping up with evolving regulatory landscape and the difference in Tax structures in France and India.
The keynote presentation was delivered by CA Sneha Halder, Partner at Greenvissage Business Consulting LLP, She provided a comprehensive overview of the Indian corporate tax framework and compliance requirements for French subsidiaries operating in India. The presentation covered the following topics:
Available corporate tax rates in India - Overview of standard and concessional tax rates, including startup incentives under Section 80-IAC and applicable surcharges and cess
Tax return filing - Key filing deadlines based on transfer pricing applicability, advance tax payments, and consequences of late or incorrect returns
Tax Audit compliance - Applicability of tax audit, required documentation, timelines, and penalties for non-compliance
Transfer pricing compliances - Mandatory reporting thresholds, required filings like Form 3CEB and master file, and associated penalties
DTAA benefits - Steps to claim treaty relief including TRC, Form 10F, and reduced withholding tax on cross-border income
Payroll taxes - Tax-efficient salary structuring, monthly payroll compliances, Form 16, and alignment with labour laws for domestic and expat staff
The session concluded with an interactive and engaging Q&A round, where participants sought clarifications cross-border tax compliance, transfer pricing filings, foreign tax credit claims, and regulatory obligations for French subsidiaries operating in India, making it an interactive knowledge-sharing experience.
