The session on 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀: 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 commenced with a warm welcome from Ms. Jyotsna Mansukhani, Head – HR & Recruitment Services at IFCCI, who set the tone by highlighting the growing interest and relevance of Indo-French partnerships.
The session led by Ms. Shyla Du Cosquer- Indo-French Coach & Intercultural Leadership Trainer, sparked some powerful reflections on how culture quietly shapes the way we collaborate, communicate, and lead.
Here’s what stood out:
- The Cultural Iceberg- culture has visible and invisible layers – values and norms often drive behaviour more than what we see.
- “Normal” varies across cultures – what’s intuitive for one may feel unfamiliar to another.
- Misunderstandings can impact outcomes – especially around hierarchy, communication, and decisions.
- Self-awareness is key – understanding our own cultural lens improves collaboration.
- Strong teams bridge differences – aligning expectations is more effective than eliminating them.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A session with the participants.
