The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) along with UBI France, Greater Paris Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCIP) and the ASTech-Systematic hub welcomed a delegation of 6 French companies to India from 15th November to 22nd November, 2014. The delegation was lead by Mr. Gerard Poirier, Deputy Vice President for Scientific Strategy Partnerships and Cooperation at Dassault Aviation and Working Group President at Systematic. The companies in the delegation were members of the Systematic Paris Region which is an Information & Communications Technology (ICT) cluster in Paris. IFCCI represents the Systematic Cluster in India. The week long program for the companies included collective visits and individual B2B meeting with potential partners.
The delegation started its journey from Bangalore with a cultural visit to Mysore. The following day, the delegation visited the Eolane facilities in the Electronics city of Bangalore for half a day. They were welcomed by Mr. Sukhvinder Kumar, CEO of Eolane, India who shared insights about Indian market & opportunities and shared his experiences from Eolane’s growth on Doing Business in India. The delegation along with the Eolane team also visited their manufacturing facilities. The second half of the day, was a seminar emphasizing on the research in technology in India, opportunities in IT & Defense sectors and gave insights on the way regulations are shaping up with the new government. The seminar had subject matter experts from IISc, ex-Defense officers and industry experts. The seminar was open to members from the relevant industry in Bangalore and had representatives from over 50 companies. This was followed by a networking dinner. Each company in the delegation then had an individual agenda of B2B meetings and met potential partners, clients & collaborators during the days that followed.
The visit helped the delegation spot potential partners and define their strategy for the Indian market. Most companies are expected to follow up with their contacts and revisit to further develop their business in India.
